Institute information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Educational Guidance Committee at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies\u00a0 at the University of Baghdad, under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor, Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Mamouri, held an in-person workshop in the Institute\u2019s hall entitled (Graduate Studies Students and the Correct Use of Social Media), where the workshop was managed by the Assistant Professor. Dr. Kholoud Hadi Abboud, Chairman of the Educational Guidance Committee at the Institute, was lectured by Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Ismail Muhammad, teaching in the Department of Accounting Studies, and Dr. Duha Saad Dawoud, teaching in the College of Information – University of Baghdad. A number of professors, associates, and students of the Institute participated in the workshop.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop discussed social networking sites and their importance in education through the ease of sharing information, effective research, the participation of specialists in the educational process, stimulating creativity, enhancing credibility and independent education among students.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop reached several recommendations, the most important of which is explaining the best way to benefit from social media in the field of scientific research, identifying the most important ways to benefit from scientific websites (Research Gate, Google Scholar), as well as other scientific websites, and explaining the most important methods for avoiding fake websites that waste time and are not compatible with… Scientific research ethics.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
