The Department of Accounting Studies at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research tagged (audit of technical reserves in the insurance activity and its reflection on the reliability of financial statements – applied research) for the student Ahmed Emad Ali to obtain a certified accountant, which is the highest professional certificate in the field of specialization whose holder enjoys All the rights and privileges of a PhD.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The study aimed to identify the procedures for auditing the technical reserves in the insurance activity as one of the most important and valuable budget items usually and its impact on the result of the activity and the financial position of insurance companies, which is reflected in insurance prices.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The study concluded that it is necessary to correct the presentation in the statement of the financial position of the insurance companies so that the display of technical reserves (technical provisions) is included in the allocations account instead of reserves, in addition to the need for the company to adhere to the technical foundations of the insurance activity when estimating technical reserves and to adhere to the laws and instructions issued in this regard.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
