Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Women’s Affairs Committee at the Institute held a workshop entitled (Environmental Sustainability and Renewable Energy) in the Institute Hall. The workshop was managed by Assistant Professor Dr. Kholoud Hadi Abboud, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute. The workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rajaa Al-Din and Senior Chief Engineer Saad Makki Muhammad at the Nahrain Research Center for Renewable Energy – Nahrain University. A number of lecturers and graduate students at the Institute participated in the workshop.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of the population census by explaining the importance of assessing the population situation in the country during the period between censuses in order to monitor the demographic, social and economic changes that have occurred in the population in its various segments.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop concluded the necessity of spreading awareness in the field of population census by holding awareness seminars and workshops in this field to help the Iraqi citizen understand the purpose of the census and the necessity of linking the goals of the population census to the goals of sustainable development, given its importance in knowing the rates of poverty, unemployment and illiteracy among the population.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
