The workshop was presented by the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, and Assistant Lecturer Enas Jumaa Radhi, Head of the Legal Division at the Institute. Faculty members and graduate students from the Institute participated in the workshop.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>The workshop addressed the divine status of humanity and what should be followed to achieve peace and security and avoid such taboos as human trafficking. It also addressed the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law No. 28 of 2012 and relevant international agreements, such as the Palermo Protocol against Trafficking in Persons.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>The workshop concluded the importance of the role of religious institutions in promoting awareness about the dangers of human trafficking and its impact on society, cooperation between religious and governmental bodies to activate the partnership between religious institutions, the government and civil society in combating human trafficking.
