The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The role of reinsurance in the return and risk of insurance companies-Applied research in the Iraqi Insurance Company’s) for the student\u00a0 shaymaa abd ahussein abd alnabi to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master\u2019s degree in taxes and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The study aimed to measure the impact of reinsurance on return stability and risk levels in insurance companies, and to determine whether reinsurance represents a tool for maximizing profitability or merely a mechanism for reducing risk.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The study concluded that reinsurance is an effective tool in risk management, enabling insurance companies to fulfill their obligations to policyholders in critical times, thereby enhancing their operational capacity and financial stability. It also revealed that the relationship between reinsurance and returns is not always directly proportional, as the ill-considered use of reinsurance may lead to reduced returns due to the increased costs associated with reinsurance contracts.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
