Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal and Dr. Saba Kareem Abbood, faculty members at the Post-Graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies (PGIAFS), University of Baghdad, participated in the International Conference on Business, Management, Economics, and Information Systems (ICBMEIS-2025), held at York College, City University of New York (CUNY), USA, from October 25 to 26, 2025, via the ZOOM platform, with the participation of researchers from various countries around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two researchers presented a joint paper titled: \u201cAnalyzing the Impact of Adopting IFRS S1 and S2 Sustainability Standards on Strategic Managerial Accounting Practices.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The paper was discussed during the scientific sessions attended by distinguished professors and scholars from American, European, and Asian universities. It examined the impact of adopting international sustainability standards on developing managerial accounting practices and enhancing the integration between financial reporting and sustainability disclosure.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the conference, both Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal and Dr. Saba Kareem Abbood received a Certificate of Presentation from the School of Business and Information Systems, York College, City University of New York (CUNY) in recognition of their outstanding contribution to enriching the international research sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n
