Institute Media<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, a certified public accountant, the Institute held a workshop entitled “Combating Suicide and Addressing Psychological Aspects” in the Institute’s hall. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Mohammed Uloum Mohammed, a faculty member in the Department of Financial Studies, and Assistant Professor Dr. Khulood Hadi Aboud, also a faculty member in the Department of Financial Studies. A number of staff members, faculty members, and postgraduate students from the Institute participated in the workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop focused on suicide as a complex human and societal issue intertwined with psychological, social, economic, and cultural factors. It emphasized the importance of early prevention and promoting mental health as a fundamental pillar for protecting the individual and society.<\/span><\/p>\n

These activities fall under the environmental and sustainability goals of achieving Goal (11), which aims to ensure that cities and human settlements are inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.<\/span><\/p>\n
