Institute Media<\/span><\/h3>\n

Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, a chartered accountant, the Institute held a workshop entitled “The Role of Women in Building National Identity in Iraq” in the Institute’s hall. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Faiha Abdullah Yaqoub, a faculty member in the Accounting Studies Department at the Institute, and was attended by a number of faculty members and staff.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The workshop aimed to highlight the role of Iraqi women and their pivotal contribution to instilling the values \u200b\u200bof citizenship and national belonging. They are not only essential partners in the family, but also active contributors to society through education, work, and participation in public life. Its role is reflected in the national education of children, instilling values \u200b\u200bof belonging, responsibility, patriotism, and community participation to support civic and cultural initiatives that strengthen national identity and community awareness. It also emphasizes the importance of women’s participation in political and social spheres, encourages women’s economic and educational empowerment as a means of building a strong national character, highlights successful Iraqi women who have contributed to serving the nation, and opens a societal dialogue about the challenges women face in fulfilling their national role and how to address them.<\/span><\/h3>\n

These activities fall under the environmental and sustainability goals, specifically Goal (4), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.<\/span><\/h3>\n
