Institute Media<\/span><\/h3>\n

Under the supervision of the Dean of the Pot-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, a certified public accountant, Ms. Nabaa Jasim Mohammed, Head of the Media and Government Communication Unit at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, participated in specialized training courses in television editing, photography, and journalistic editing. These courses were held by the College of Media at the University of Baghdad in the college’s Continuing Education Hall. Several faculty members from the College of Media lectured at the courses, which were attended by representatives from media units in various colleges, institutes, and centers within the university.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The training courses aimed to provide practical and theoretical instruction on the fundamentals of video editing, techniques for processing video footage, and methods for constructing visual narratives. They also introduced participants to the most important software used in video editing and production, ensuring a professional output that meets the demands of contemporary media work. The courses focused on developing participants’ abilities to prepare reports and visual materials for government institutions, thereby contributing to enhancing the efficiency of media performance and developing government communication tools within the university.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The courses also included presentations by several faculty members from the College of Media and attended by representatives from media units in various colleges, institutes, and centers across the university. The training courses also included practical explanations of different types of shots and techniques for constructing news stories using mobile phones. They highlighted the importance of speed in reporting events while maintaining accuracy and credibility, which are among the most prominent features of contemporary digital media. The sessions witnessed extensive interaction from participants, who raised a number of questions and inquiries about the mechanisms for employing mobile technologies in government media work and the challenges they face in the work environment. These questions were answered in detail by the instructor.<\/span><\/h3>\n

These courses are part of a series of activities implemented by the College of Media at the University of Baghdad. The aim is to enhance the efficiency of media personnel and develop their capabilities in line with the demands of the digital age, strengthen the quality of media performance within government institutions, and cultivate professional skills and build the capacities of media professionals to keep pace with the rapid developments in the digital media industry.<\/span><\/h3>\n

This activity is part of the University of Baghdad’s efforts to achieve the fourth Sustainable Development Goal, which is to ensure inclusive and equitable education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.<\/span><\/h3>\n
