 The Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Mamouri, held the first day curriculum of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration on Monday, November 13, 2023, in the Institute’s hall. The curriculum was attended by a group of professors, affiliates, and students of the Institute.

The first curriculum included [presentation of scientific activities that won advanced positions in international forums (a success story)], which was covered at exactly ten o’clock in the morning and according to the following two papers:

  • The first research by Professor Dr. Khawla Hussein Hamdan, who taught in the Department of Accounting Studies, which was participated in within the Fourteenth World Conference on Islamic Marketing, held in Tbilisi – Georgia, for the period 9/27-29/2023. The research was awarded the third place award for the best Arab research participating in the conference. About the research entitled (The role of environmental auditing in verifying the commitment of Islamic banks to disclose environmental sustainability according to (GRI)).

  • The second lecturer research in the Department of Accounting Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Ismail Muhammad, which was participated in the Ninth Scientific Conference for Pure, Applied and Technological Sciences, which was held in the city of Istanbul in Turkey for the period from 6-8/7/2023, with his research entitled (Transport planning: planning Dimensions of traffic accidents in Iraq), where the lecture dealt with a statistical orientation and the possibility of arriving at numerical indicators that are useful and explain the accounting phenomenon under study. In terms of the stage of collecting data on the phenomenon using the statistical questionnaire form and approving its outputs after testing the form and trusting it or not, the lecturer recommended that researchers in the accounting side need to adopt the objective and logical foundations of the statistical questionnaire form, test it, and then approve it.

As for the second curriculum, which was entitled [Developing Creativity among Postgraduate Students (A Discussion Panel)] at 11:30 a.m., it dealt with developing creativity among the categories of postgraduate students:

– The first category (distinguished people): This category strives diligently to leave a mark of distinction, even at the expense of time.

– The second category: (traditional surrenderers) who search for studies and messages and only change the time, place, or sample…so this research has no addition to it or to society.

– The third category: This category is in the middle of the previous two types and seeks excellence to the utmost degree, but does not ignore the reality or the time factor and takes consultation.
