the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajeel Al-Mamouri, held an online and virtual workshop on the Institute’s hall through the application of the Zoom program entitled (The Role of Joint Banking Loans in Financing Investment Projects). A number of professors, associates, and students of the Institute participated in the workshop. .

The workshop dealt with the most important credit risks, the importance of bank credit, the beginnings of joint bank loans, their concept and the factors that enhance them, as well as the duration and parties of joint bank loans.

The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Ali Abbas Karim, a teacher in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute, and Assistant Professor Dr. Salah El-Din Mohamed Amin Al-Imam, a member of the teaching staff at the Administrative Technical College / Baghdad – Central Technical University.

The workshop concluded that the syndication loans should contribute through the provisions of drafting the loan agreement and the participants’ understanding of their roles and the risks of each role in distributing the risks resulting from financing and limiting their losses to the lowest limits, and the need to consider the syndication loans as a preferential tool for banks in light of the increasing needs of customers in terms of the volume of loans And in the presence of credit restrictions on banks, they help banks to perform their primary role in granting credit and present themselves as a method for limiting risks at the same time.

At the end of the workshop, the assistant dean of the institute presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Assistant Professor Dr. Salah El-Din Muhammad Al-Imam, appreciating his efforts in the workshop.
