Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Institute, led by Unit Head, lecturer Suhad Jiyad Matroud, conducted a volunteer campaign on “The Importance of Women-Responsive Financial Budgets and Their Impact on Achieving Gender Equality.” This involved posting informational posters throughout the institute’s departments.
The campaign aimed to promote social justice by directing public spending towards reducing gender gaps and empowering women economically through supporting projects and services that increase their participation in the labor market. These activities fall under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 5), which focuses on ensuring gender equality.
