As part of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad’s efforts to support sound scientific research and keep pace with global developments in the fields of accounting, finance, and digital transformation, new scientific research by Assistant Professor Dr. Hakim Hamoud Falih, a lecturer in the Department of Accounting Studies, and Assistant Professor Iman Hussein Dawood, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies, was published in the proceedings of an international scientific conference held at the Modern College of Business and Science in the Sultanate of Oman.
The paper was published by the international publishing house Springer in the journal Studies in Systems, Decision and Control. The paper was titled:
“The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Achieving Tax Compliance: Evidence from Iraq.”
The paper addressed the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in enhancing tax compliance in Iraq by analyzing the impact of smart tools and technologies on increasing tax collection efficiency, reducing evasion, and enhancing transparency in the financial environment, in line with the requirements of digital transformation and tax reform.
This achievement represents a qualitative scientific addition that embodies the institute’s presence in international forums and reflects its researchers’ commitment to employing modern technologies in the service of financial and accounting disciplines, thus enhancing the University of Baghdad’s position in global academic rankings and events.
