Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, a specialized committee from the Institute participated in commemorating Earth Day. The committee prepared and designed an awareness poster aimed at disseminating environmental culture and promoting awareness of the importance of environmental conservation. The committee included Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Sami Hasaballah, Head of the Reconstruction and Projects Unit, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Jabbar Abbas from the Higher Education Fund Unit. They worked to present scientific and educational content reflecting the importance of this global occasion and emphasizing the role of academic institutions in supporting environmental issues.
This participation is part of the University of Baghdad’s efforts to commemorate Earth Day by organizing environmental and awareness events that contribute to establishing the concepts of sustainability and social responsibility, and encourage students and university staff to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.
The Dean of the Institute affirmed its continued support for initiatives that contribute to serving the community and promoting environmental awareness, in line with the university’s commitment to achieving sustainable development.
