With hearts that believe in the decree and destiny of God, and are filled with deep sorrow and grief, the Post Graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad—represented by its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajeel al-Maamouri (a chartered accountant), and joined by the heads and members of the academic departments, the faculty, and all staff and personnel—extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the entire Islamic nation on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of the beloved daughter of the Noble Messenger and the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
On this painful anniversary, we recall the virtuous life of “Umm Abiha” (the Mother of her Father) and the sublime values of patience, steadfastness, and devotion she embodied. We draw inspiration from her noble principles, finding in them the motivation to advance our academic and professional pursuits and to strive for excellence in serving our educational institutions and our cherished nation.
May God grant us all a great reward for enduring this profound loss, and may He enable us to follow in her righteous path.
