As part of the activities and events of the units and divisions of the Post Graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, and under the guidance and patronage of the Institute’s Dean, Certified Public Accountant Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajeel Al-Maamouri.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Head of the Human Rights Unit at the Institute, Assistant Lecturer Odai Obaid Zaidan, attended a meeting of the Human Rights Division at the University of Baghdad’s Presidency, held in the Central Library Hall. The meeting addressed key obstacles and challenges facing human rights divisions and units across the university and explored ways to resolve them. The Head of the Division at the University Presidency commended the units’ recent performance, and several recommendations were formulated for submission to the University Council for discussion.
This participation is part of the University of Baghdad’s efforts to strengthen the role of human rights units within its various departments, thereby contributing to enhanced interaction and positive outreach among diverse groups and staff members in general.
