The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The impact of non-depository financing sources on capital adequacy – Applied research on a sample of Iraqi commercial banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange) for the student  Oqbah Hamad Kanoosh to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in taxes and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.

The study aimed to demonstrate the effect of non-deposit financing sources in all their dimensions (confirmed insurances, allocation for shopping income, other elements, long-term loans, various allocations) on the deficit to know the known capital (the ratio of capital to total deposits, the ratio of capital to assets, known as risks.

The study concluded a weak impact of sources of financing other than deposits on the invention of capital. The study recommended advice, the most important of which is greater reliance on the sources used in making investments at the expense of sources that are not appropriate for decent work and economic growth.
