The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (Analysis of the importance of financial soundness indicators using the CAMEL model in enhancing the volume of bank deposits – an applied research on a sample of Iraqi private banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange) for the student Mukhallad Hamid Ali to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in banks and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.
The study aimed to diagnose the importance of financial safety indicators using the CAMEL model in enhancing the volume of deposits, as the independent variable represents financial safety indicators using the CAMEL model, while the dependent variable represents enhancing the volume of deposits, as these indicators have a clear impact in enhancing the volume of bank deposits, and for the importance of these deposits, it is necessary to evaluate The level of its continuous growth and how its management is organized. To demonstrate these indicators and their impact on enhancing the volume of deposits in private Iraqi banks, the five indicators of the CAMEL banking evaluation model were used, represented by (capital adequacy, asset quality, management efficiency, profitability, liquidity).
The study concluded that there is an impact of financial safety indicators in enhancing the volume of bank deposits.
