Lecturer Nour Ali Salman, Head of the Citizens Affairs Unit at the Institute, Assistant Lecturer Adi Obaid Zidane, Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Unit at the Institute, and Assistant Lecturer Hiba Mahmoud Muhammad participated in the training workshop held at the University of Baghdad, Al-Hakim Hall for five days, which was attended by directors of departments, branches and quality units in Iraqi governmental and private universities and colleges. The first day included the largest event to train performance evaluation officials in Iraqi universities.
The workshop aimed to familiarize officials of performance evaluation committees in Iraqi universities with the new mechanism for evaluating the performance of lecturers and employees in Iraqi universities according to the updated forms launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The training will focus on the mechanism for evaluating the performance of lecturers and employees in Iraqi universities for the academic year 2024/2023.
The Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, stated that the workshop will be held in cooperation with the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Baghdad and will last for five days. The Head of the Performance Evaluation Division at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Laila Subhan, added that the new form focused on allocating higher grades for scientific research presented by lecturers and amending the points-granting system to serve the educational and administrative process for workers in public and private universities in Iraq.
