Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Women’s Affairs Committee at the Institute held a workshop entitled (The National Initiative to Encourage Purposeful Content) in the Institute Hall. The workshop was managed by Assistant Professor Dr. Kholoud Hadi Abboud, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute. The workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Biraq Hussein Al-Rubaie, College of Media, University of Baghdad, and Assistant Lecturer Saif Wahab Mazhar from the Department of Media and Government Communication at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad. A number of lecturers and graduate students at the Institute participated in the workshop.

The workshop highlighted the importance of encouraging purposeful content and promoting useful and influential content on the Internet by educating the public and raising awareness about various issues that contribute to confronting digital challenges such as the spread of harmful content and misinformation on the Internet. The workshop concluded the need to raise awareness about the importance of purposeful content and encourage the public to distinguish between useful and harmful content by organizing programs and workshops to educate the public about the importance of purposeful content, as well as supporting purposeful content creators and encouraging them to produce useful and influential content and encouraging the public to share useful content and stay away from non-purposeful content. These activities are classified within the environmental and sustainability goals in achieving Goal (8) in promoting comprehensive, sustainable and inclusive economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
