The Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, Chartered Accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, received the First Deputy of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, Chartered Accountant Dr. Abdul Karim Faris Abdul Amir. The meeting was attended by Chartered Accountant Dr. Ahmed Ya’rub Abdul Karim, Assistant Director General of the Finance and Distribution Sector at the Federal Board of Supreme Audit; Chartered Accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Najlaa Sada Hassoun, Assistant Dean of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies; Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Sabah Ibrahim, Rapporteur of the Financial Studies Department; Assistant Professor Dr. Tahani Mahdi Abbas and Assistant Professor Iman Hussein Dawood, lecturers in the Financial Studies Department; and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Hassan Ahmed, Rapporteur of the Accounting Studies Department at the Institute.

This visit came within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the Higher Institute and the Federal Board of Supreme Audit to open new horizons for academic partnership and professional development, serving the university and the academic community. During the visit, they discussed a number of important topics aimed at utilizing the practical aspect to serve the scientific and research aspect. The Certified Public Accountant, Dr. Abdul Karim Faris Abdul Amir, emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Audit Bureau and the Institute in enhancing the quality of higher education, pointing out that this type of cooperation will contribute to raising the level of scientific research and providing distinguished educational opportunities for postgraduate students. For his part, the Dean of the Institute, Certified Public Accountant, Assistant Professor, Dr. Ali Al-Maamouri, welcomed this step, expressing the Institute’s readiness to provide full support to enhance joint cooperation and exchange of expertise, which will benefit the university as a whole.
