Under the patronage of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, chartered accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies held a workshop entitled “The Mechanism of Preparing Scientific Research According to International Publication Requirements.” The workshop took place in the Institute’s hall and was presented by Professor Dr. Ali Abbas Karim, a faculty member in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute. The workshop ran from January 11th to 12th, 2026, and was attended by third-year students from the Department of Accounting Studies (Certified Accounting).
The workshop highlighted the importance of understanding how to prepare scientific research according to several steps, most importantly how to choose a research title, how to write an abstract, how to develop an introductory section, how to prepare the research methodology and review previous studies, and how to address the theoretical and practical aspects of the research, including conclusions and recommendations.
This workshop contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal (4): Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
