His Excellency the President of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, charteded Accountant Dr. Ammar Subhi Khalaf, welcomed Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Acting President of the University. This meeting, held within the framework of strengthening the partnership between educational and oversight institutions, was also attended by the Vice President of the Board, Dr. Qaisar Ghazi Zughair, the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, chartered accountant Assistant professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, and several representatives from both sides, to discuss avenues of cooperation.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the areas of oversight, auditing, and administrative development, as well as ways to integrate oversight expertise with academic knowledge to support the educational and research process, particularly in training and professional programs that enhance the efficiency of educational institutions and serve the requirements of sustainable institutional development. Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed Al-Hashemi emphasized the importance of the partnership with the Audit Bureau as a cornerstone for enhancing transparency and good governance.
He commended the Bureau’s role in supporting public institutions, including universities, in developing their performance according to quality standards and financial and administrative oversight.
This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 16, which calls for peace, justice, and strong institutions, as well as Goal 17, which focuses on partnerships for achieving the goals.
