The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The impact of legal regulation of green banking activities in achieving agricultural development- An applied Research in the Agricultural Cooperative Bank) for the student  Nihad Nageh Ali to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in banks and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.

The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of the legal regulation of green banking in achieving agricultural development and diagnosing the level of adoption of green banking by Iraqi banks and the most important advantages and difficulties that banks face when applying green banking and contributing to knowing the orientation of Iraqi banks towards adopting green banking strategies and the extent of their interest in environmental and societal aspects in order to achieve a competitive advantage and the role that green banks can play in achieving agricultural development goals.

 The study concluded the necessity of increasing the capital of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank and supporting and improving the financial position through government financing and attracting personal savings for the purpose of expanding the granting of loans to finance the largest number of agricultural projects.
