Under the patronage of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, the Center for Strategic and International Studies at the University of Baghdad held its scientific symposium in the hall of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies entitled (Iraqi Community Security in Light of Contemporary Challenges) in the presence of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, and the Dean of the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, the Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri at our university and a number of scientific and academic figures. A number of the center’s instructors participated in the symposium.
The symposium aimed to explain the concept of community security, its dimensions, and the challenges facing Iraqi community security, including environmental and social challenges, and that the family has a major role in creating social security through protection from wrong customs and behaviors represented in drugs and violence against children. Community security is also a basic need for society through which the stability and progress of the country is measured because it is the guarantor of the safety of the individual and society. The Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies seeks to participate with all formations of the University of Baghdad in various services, including courses, seminars, and scientific workshops, in order to serve the community.
