The Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, headed by Chartered Accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, and supervised by the Institute’s Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Wafaa Hussein Salman Al-Haidari, held a tree-planting campaign to grow plants and flowers in the institute’s garden. A select group of professors and staff from the Institute participated in the campaign.
The Dean of the Institute explained that this campaign and student activity aims to highlight the importance of tree-planting to the environment in improving and moderating the surrounding environment and reducing pollution. It also encourages students to cultivate a spirit of initiative and acquire tree-planting skills and teamwork Environmental and Sustainability Goals(Goal 15).
