Lecturer Dr. Alaa Ihsan Salloum, a faculty member at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, participated in a workshop entitled “Reducing Expenditures and Increasing Revenues,” held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs/Vocational Rehabilitation and Social Integration Center.

The workshop aimed to analyze the current state of the Iraqi economy, identify areas of financial waste in government institutions, and utilize financial planning strategies to achieve efficient resource utilization, increase revenues, activate spending governance, enhance transparency and financial oversight in government institutions, and highlight successful international experiences in reducing operational expenses and maximizing revenues.

Dr.Alaa ehsan Salloum’s participation reflects the Institute’s faculty members’ commitment to engaging in scientific and professional activities that foster communication between academic institutions and government entities, contribute to the exchange of expertise, and improve institutional performance in the public interest. This workshop contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 4, which calls for quality education, and Goal 17, which focuses on partnerships for achieving the goals.
