In keeping with its commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends in financial management and strategic planning, the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor and Certified Public Accountant Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, participated in a specialized training program entitled “Program and Performance Budgeting: Between Reality and Applicability for Achieving Desired Reform.” The program was organized by the Ministry of Planning’s Department of Administrative Development and Information Technology.

This program is part of the Ministry of Planning’s efforts to develop the institutional capacities of employees in state institutions, promote modern management concepts, and transition towards the application of program and performance budgeting as a fundamental pillar of administrative and financial reform. This contributes to increasing the efficiency of resource allocation and improving the quality of government performance.

The Dean’s participation reflects his contribution to developing academic and administrative leadership and his openness to specialized training programs that facilitate the transfer of expertise and knowledge. This, in turn, positively impacts the development of institutional performance and strengthens the Institute’s role in preparing scientific and professional competencies capable of meeting the demands of reform and modernization in state institutions.
