This study aimed to audit air navigation activities and services by developing a proposed audit program for these activities and services, in accordance with the laws, regulations, and standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). It also examined the program’s impact on financial statements and its effect on decision-making within the General Company for Air Navigation Services for the period 2018-2024. The audit program is considered the essential tool that enables the auditor to achieve their objectives and facilitates the work of the audit team.
The study concluded that the Federal Board of Supreme Audit lacks a specialized audit program to examine and audit these important activities. Furthermore, the results revealed significant deficiencies in the company’s control environment and risk management system, as well as weaknesses in strategic planning at the senior management level.
