At the kind invitation of the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company SOMO, Mr. Khadir Abbas, a delegation headed by the Dean of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, the legal accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, visited, in the presence of Professor Dr. Baidaa Sattar Lafta, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies, Lecturer Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Accounting and Financial Studies, and Lecturer Muayad Hamid Majdi, Head of the Studies and Planning Division at the Institute.

During his meeting, the Dean of the Institute provided a detailed explanation of the nature of the specialized postgraduate studies adopted by the Higher Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies and its future prospects, and his tireless efforts to maintain distinguished relations with the oil company at all levels to serve the interests of both parties.

For his part, Mr. Khadir Abbas indicated that there are great opportunities for cooperation between the Oil Company and the University of Baghdad and the possibility of benefiting from the advanced staff in the Institute’s consulting office in the aspects of preparing feasibility studies for various oil companies, with the importance of preparing a memorandum of understanding between the two parties, in addition to coordinating with the Training and Development Department at the Ministry of Oil to strive for the university’s outputs in the financial and accounting aspects to be compatible with the professionally and technically specialized staff to meet the requirements of work in the Ministry of Oil and its various formations. The Dean of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies confirmed the Institute’s full readiness to make this cooperation a success. In conclusion, the Dean and the accompanying delegation expressed their great thanks and gratitude for the warm reception and good guidance, wishing to increase the opportunity for cooperation and integration. The Director General of the Oil Marketing Company also thanked the delegation for accepting the invitation and their positive guidance in cooperation with the Oil Marketing Company.
