Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Continuing Education Unit at the Institute, within the program for developing scientific research skills for postgraduate students (ASDPS), held a workshop entitled (How to publish research in global containers Scopus) in the Institute hall. The workshop was lectured by Professor Dr. Ali Abbas Karim, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute, and students of the Department of Financial Studies, research stage at the Institute, participated in the workshop.
The workshop aimed to familiarize students with the academic standards for publishing in global containers, including quality requirements, the foundations of sound scientific writing, and the mechanisms for selecting journals indexed in prestigious databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. It also enabled students to develop their skills in formulating scientific research, taking into account publishing guidelines, citation requirements, and research ethics. These activities are classified within the environmental and sustainability goals in achieving Goal (4) in ensuring that all receive comprehensive and equitable education of high quality and enhancing lifelong learning opportunities for all.
