Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, Chartered Accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajeel Al-Maamouri, the Institute’s Accounting Studies Department held a workshop entitled “The Importance of the H-Index in Improving Academic Impact” in the Institute’s auditorium. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Hakim Hamoud Falih, a lecturer in the Institute’s Accounting Studies Department, and lecturer Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Accounting and Financial Studies. A number of faculty members and graduate students from the Institute participated in the workshop.
The workshop highlighted the importance of academic impact, its significance, the definition of the H-Index, and the academic impact of faculty members and graduate students. This workshop is part of the Institute’s efforts to enhance the research of faculty members and graduate students and support academic publishing in international journals listed in international rankings.
