Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal, a lecturer at the Post-grdauate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, participated in the activities of the International Conference on Business and Technology (ICBT Edinburgh’2025), which was held at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom from April 12 to 13, 2025.
The participation consisted of a joint scientific research paper with Dr. Amer Daykh Obaid, a lecturer from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Iraq, titled “The Iraqi Judicial System in Light of the Activation of the Role of the Forensic Accountant: Proposed Strategies and Methods.” The research examines the Iraqi judicial system in light of the activation of the role of the forensic accountant, and proposes strategies and methods to improve its performance in line with international standards, with a focus on enhancing transparency and credibility in judicial investigations.
The research was presented via Zoom, which brought together a select group of researchers and academics from around the world. The conference received technical support from Springer Nature, and its proceedings will be included in prestigious international databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and SpringerLink. This participation is an important step in strengthening academic cooperation, supporting scientific research, and opening new horizons for researchers in the fields of accounting, auditing, and related contemporary topics.
