The General Directorate of Traffic held a comprehensive conference entitled “The First Scientific Forum on Reducing Road Accidents in Iraq.” Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Ismail Mohammed, a faculty member at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, participated with his research paper entitled “The Effectiveness of Planning Strategies in Reducing Road Accidents.” The conference was held at the Baghdad Hall of the Al-Rasheed Hotel, under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and with the attendance of prominent security, administrative, and academic figures, as well as media representatives.
The research aims to adopt an objective strategy with planning dimensions that takes into account the participatory principles of governmental and non-governmental sectors to complete the interactive framework of that strategy.
At the conclusion of the conference, the General Directorate of Traffic expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for his continuous support and significant efforts in developing traffic management and achieving road safety throughout the country’s governorates.
