The Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor and Certified Public Accountant Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajil Al-Maamouri, participated in the second session of the conference organized by the Iraqi Foundation for Foreign Policy. The conference, held at the Heart of the World Hotel in Al-Jadriya on Saturday, May 16, 2026, was titled “Session Two: From Diagnosis to Innovative Solutions.” The conference was attended by a select group of government, academic, and economic figures, as well as decision-makers, to discuss the most prominent current challenges facing Iraq and to propose innovative strategic visions and solutions that contribute to supporting development paths and strengthening public policies.

The conference included two dialogue sessions that discussed mechanisms for transitioning from crisis awareness to managing transformation, in addition to proposing innovative solutions to address the economic challenges facing the country. The conference sessions emphasized the importance of cooperation between academic institutions, government agencies, and economic experts to develop practical visions that contribute to supporting the national economy and achieving sustainable development.

The participation of the Dean of the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies comes within the framework of the Institute’s commitment to strengthening its scientific and academic presence at conferences and intellectual forums, and to engaging with research and intellectual institutions that contribute to supporting development and decision-making in Iraq.
