The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The role of Kaizen in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of tax performance-Applied research) for the student   Rusul Ali Hassan to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in taxes and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.

This study aimed to examine the correlation and influence between the independent variable Kaizen, with its dimensions of continuous improvement, employee engagement, process focus, waste reduction, and senior management support, and the dependent variable, tax performance, with its dimensions of efficiency and effectiveness, at the General Authority for Taxation, and to rank these dimensions according to their importance.

The study concluded that adopting the Kaizen methodology and its main dimensions at the General Authority for Taxation is essential, given its active role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of tax performance, improving operational processes, raising the quality of tax services provided, and fostering a culture of participation among employees at the General Authority for Taxation. This can be achieved by adopting clear mechanisms for submitting proposals and development ideas, and by leveraging their field experience, thereby contributing to improving tax procedures and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of performance within the Authority.
