The Department of Accounting Studies at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled(The Auditing Procedures of The Iraqi Deposit Insurance Company are in Accordance with International Auditing Standards and their impact on the continuity of the Company-An Applied research) for the student Maysam Salah-aldeen Abdoulameer  to obtain chartered accountant certificate, which is the highest professional certificate in the field of specialization, and its holder enjoys all the rights and privileges of a doctorate degree.

The study aimed to protect the financial deposits of depositors in the event of the default of the bank that owns the deposits. This system differs from one country to another in its terms and levels of compensation, but the general goal is to provide confidence to depositors in the financial system and protect their money. Given the importance of the deposit insurance system company in protecting depositors’ money, it must be employed International auditing standards when establishing company audit procedures.

The study reached spreading awareness of the role of the deposit insurance company in protecting bank deposits and the rights of depositors, avoiding financial panic among them, preserving the integrity of the banks’ financial positions and not exposing them to financial failure and financial insolvency, which in turn leads to the entry of weak and middle-income segments into the banking market and thus increasing the effectiveness and adequacy of the device.
