Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, the Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Mamouri, the Educational Guidance Committee at the Institute held a workshop entitled (Intellectual Extremism and Religious Deviation-Phenomena Contrary to the Social and Religious Behavior of Society) in the Institute’s hall. The workshop was managed by Assistant Professor Dr. Kholoud. Hadi Abboud, lecturing in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute. The workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Moayed Abdel Sada from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Center for Psychological Research. A number of lecturers and graduate students at the Institute participated in the workshop.
The workshop highlighted the importance of using Islamic curricula based on the Sunnah of the Prophet and the thought of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon him), spreading knowledge and combating ignorance by paying attention to sound upbringing and education that takes place within religious schools, universities and mosques.
The workshop established strict controls for publications, publications, satellite channels, social networking sites, and the Internet.
