The University of Baghdad hosted the Iraqi Engineer’s Day celebration in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Ensaf, the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, the Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Mamouri, the deans of the faculties of the University of Baghdad and the university presidents, as well as Engineers and directors of reconstruction departments in various Iraqi universities.
The celebration included a speech by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in which he appreciated the tasks of this segment, which has come to play a vital role in covering urban requirements, has taken over the reins of infrastructure construction, and has worked hard to innovate technological, industrial and technical solutions, stressing that the Ministry is taking vigorous steps to develop, modernize and develop the engineering education environment. Keeping pace with contemporary scientific developments, supporting the fields of scientific research in the engineering sectors in a way that enhances the outputs of these sectors to meet the requirements of the labor market, and adapting and diversifying the absorptive capacities in universities and colleges in a way that is compatible with staid international forums.
