As a continuation of the series of meetings regarding the establishment of graduate studies at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, a meeting of members of the formed committee was held under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Chartered Accountant Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Mamouri, and the membership of the Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Wafa Hussein Salman and Dr. Ali Adel from the Ministry of Oil. Professor Dr. Thaer Sabri Mahmoud Al-Ghabban, lecturing in the Department of Accounting Studies, Assistant Professor Dr. Najla Sada Hassoun Al-Rubaie, teaching in the Department of Accounting Studies, lecturer Dr. Ghazi Maan Faisal, managing editor of the Journal of Accounting and Financial Studies, lecturer Dr. Ali Abdel Azim, responsible for the Scientific Affairs Unit, and lecturer Muayad Hamid Majdi, responsible for the Studies Division. And planning at the institute.
The meeting discussed the creation of specialized postgraduate studies in the oil and gas sector, discussed the academic vocabulary and training hours required to fulfill the requirements of these studies, and determined the required inputs for admission and the number of years of study.
The meeting reached several recommendations, the most prominent of which is the necessity of implementing the required procedures with the Ministry of Oil and the relevant authorities to overcome all obstacles and complete the necessary requirements for the creation of specialized higher certificates in the oil and gas sector as soon as possible.
