The Department of Accounting Studies at the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled(Measuring the costs of producing electrical energy using solid waste and its role in achieving environmental sustainability
Applied research) for the student Zainab Jabbar Halhoul to obtain Cost and Management Accounting certificate, which is the highest professional certificate in the field of specialization, and its holder enjoys all the rights and privileges of a doctorate degree.
The study aimed to focus on the method of measuring the costs of electrical energy produced from processing solid waste using one of the environmentally friendly methods (direct combustion) without any emissions and relying on it continuously as an alternative to fuel imported from neighboring countries and used to operate most gas stations and its role in achieving environmental sustainability.
The study concluded that the accumulation of solid waste in residential neighborhoods and cities is due to the lack of cadres affiliated with the Baghdad Municipality and its affiliated municipalities, which causes an increase in the rate of environmental pollution.
