The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The Role of Microinsurance in Achieving Insurance Inclusion- Applied research in Iraqi General Insurance Company)for the student Omer Dawood khalel to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in insurance and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.
The study aimed to determine the nature of the association and influence of the independent variable microinsurance with its dimensions (low-income groups, reasonable cost, low premium, low coverage) on the dependent variable insurance coverage with its two dimensions (access, use), and the degree of arrangement of these dimensions according to their importance and priorities, as the research included a conceptual framework for its variables that play a role in achieving the goals of sustainable development in the field of decent work and the growth of the country’s economy.
The study concluded that there is a positive and significant association and influence of microinsurance in achieving insurance coverage, as the dimensions of microinsurance combined were able to explain the changes and deviations in insurance coverage by 67.2%, and each of the dimensions of low coverage and low premium had the greatest impact on insurance coverage.
