An expanded meeting of auditors was held at the Federal Board of Supreme Audit headquarters in the Naqshbandi Hall. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency the Head of the Board, chartered Accountant Dr. Ammar Subhi Khalaf, Chairman of the Council of the Auditing Profession, and attended by Council Member, chartered Accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, Dean of the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, along with other members of the Council.
The meeting addressed the practical challenges facing auditors and focused on developing effective solutions to streamline their tasks while safeguarding the interests of other government institutions and business owners. The auditors’ proposals were adopted and will be prioritized in future professional development initiatives. It was also agreed that the Council and auditors would hold regular meetings to further develop the auditing profession in accordance with sound international standards.
