Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post–Graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies—Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Thajeel Al-Maamouri (a certified public accountant)—the Institute’s Women’s Affairs Unit held a lecture titled “Female Graduates and the Labor Market” at the Institute’s hall on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Najlaa Sadah Hassoun, the Assistant Dean, and was attended by a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.
The lecture focused on enhancing women’s capabilities within society, aiming to prepare recent female graduates and equip them with the essential skills needed to integrate into the labor market with professionalism and confidence.
The workshop primarily aimed to bridge the gap between university education and the evolving demands of the labor market. Its agenda focused on achieving the following objectives: enabling female graduates to craft professional CVs that highlight their academic and personal skills; developing the skills needed to successfully navigate both in-person and virtual job interviews; introducing smart job-search strategies and the effective use of digital professional platforms; and boosting self-confidence while fostering communication and teamwork skills for the workplace.
These activities align with environmental and sustainability goals, specifically contributing to the achievement of Goal 5: ensuring gender equality
