The Department of Financial Studies the Post-graduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad discussed the research titled (The Role of the Agricultural Bank in Promoting Agricultural Sustainability –an Applied Research) for the student Anwar Kamel Hamdan to obtain a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in banks and grants its holder All rights and privileges of a master’s degree.
The study aimed to explain the role played by the Agricultural Cooperative Bank in promoting agricultural sustainability in Iraq, and to evaluate the extent of its success or shortcomings in this field, as it is a financial institution specialized in supporting the agricultural sector.
The study concluded that the Agricultural Cooperative Bank is one of the financial institutions that plays an important role in many areas, including saving and investment, in addition to granting bank loans that aim to develop agriculture and support and develop the local economy. In addition, the Agricultural Cooperative Bank did not adopt, during the research period, the topic of investigation. The sustainable development goals set by the United Nations and launched a global call for all countries, including Iraq, to achieve those goals, especially those related to indicators of agricultural sustainability.
