Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, Chartered Accountant Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Women’s Affairs Committee at the Institute held a workshop entitled (Volunteer Work and Sustainable Development) in the Institute Hall. The workshop was managed by Assistant Professor Dr. Kholoud Hadi Abboud, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute. The workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Aida Fawzi Ahmed, a lecturer in the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at our university. A number of lecturers and graduate students at the Institute participated in the workshop.

The workshop aimed to emphasize volunteer work as a basis that enhances the sustainability of society and the environment through some skill development. Universities offer workshops and training courses to develop students’ skills in areas such as leadership, communication, and problem solving.

The workshop has provided opportunities for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom through volunteer work. Universities organize awareness campaigns on social and environmental issues, which encourages students to engage in volunteer work.
