Under the supervision of the Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies, Chartered Accountant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, the Educational Guidance Committee at the Institute held a workshop entitled (Intellectual Extremism and Religious Deviation – Phenomena Contrary to the Social and Religious Behavior of Society) in the Institute Hall. The workshop was managed by Assistant Professor Dr. Kholoud Hadi Abboud, a lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies at the Institute. The workshop was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Maysoun Karim Dhari, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – Psychological Research Center. A number of lecturers and graduate students at the Institute participated in the workshop.
The workshop reached issues related to social behaviors and intellectual trends that affect the stability of society. It also emphasizes the pioneering role of academic institutions in supporting the efforts of various institutions to confront intellectual extremism and behavioral deviations by enhancing religious and social awareness. This is consistent with Goal (11) of the Sustainable Development Goals for Cities and Local Communities.
