Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Thajil Al-Maamouri, Dean of the Post-graduate Institute of Accounting and Financial Studies at the University of Baghdad, welcomed Mr. Akram Jassam Mahmoud, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Iraq for Security Affairs, on a visit aimed at strengthening frameworks for joint cooperation between Iraqi government institutions.
During the visit, the Advisor was briefed on the nature of the Institute’s work, the academic programs and scientific specializations it offers, as well as the postgraduate degrees it awards in the fields of accounting, auditing, and finance. A brief presentation was also given on the scientific and research role the Institute plays in supporting state institutions by preparing specialized graduates who keep pace with cognitive and professional developments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed upon the need to open up horizons for cooperation in the fields of financial consulting, training, and professional development, and to engage the Institute’s expertise in preparing economic studies that contribute to supporting decision-makers and enhancing institutional efficiency.
