Within the framework of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities, Assistant Professor Dr. Hakim Hamoud Falih, a lecturer in the Department of Accounting Studies at our Institute, participated as a member of the committee discussing a master’s thesis at the Technical Administrative College – Baghdad, in the Accounting Techniques Department. The thesis was titled “The Role of Internal Auditing in Evaluating the Quality of Healthcare Services Using the Six Sigma Methodology – An Applied Study,” submitted by student Nazem Shaker Mahmoud.
The research aimed to demonstrate how healthcare institutions’ adoption of an integrated internal auditing approach with Six Sigma tools contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services by enhancing performance indicators such as reliability, safety, and responsiveness. It emphasized the importance of the independence of internal audit departments and the qualification of their staff.
The research was discussed in a respectful academic atmosphere and was approved with a grade of ” eligible”.
